  Ben Affleck to play as Batman in 'Man of Steel' sequel

According to sources Ben Affleck has officially been cast as Batman in the 2015 'Man of Steel' sequel, Batman vs. Superman (2015) and film is expected to hit theaters on July 17, 2015 

 

 

Warner Bros. had made the announcement on Thursday that the 'Argo' star will star opposite Henry Cavill, who will reprise his role as Superman from 'Man of Steel', News.com.au reported.

Variety confirms the announcement from Warner Bros. that Affleck – who directed the studio’s Oscar-winning film, Argo – is indeed the new Dark Knight. In addition to that information, we now know when the Superman-Batman movie will hit theaters: July 17, 2015, after Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron. 

Earlier film executives were desperate for Christian, to star alongside Man Of Steel star Henry Cavill, in upcoming film Superman vs Batman. However,Christian Bale already had ruled out returning as Batman in any more movies.

"We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics' most enduringly popular super heroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill and then some, " Warner Bros President Greg Silverman said in a statement.
